Unlock the tuning potential of your 2015 and newer Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, or RAM with HHP Racing's in-house PCM Unlocking Service.
Beginning with the 2015 model year, many FCA vehicles use factory-locked Powertrain Control Modules that must be unlocked or upgraded before aftermarket tuning software can write custom calibrations to the PCM.
HHP performs this service in-house on your original or compatible replacement PCM, preparing the module for use with supported aftermarket tuning software. Once the unlock is complete and the PCM is reinstalled, your tuner can access and modify supported calibration parameters for performance tuning, engine modifications, forced induction, fuel changes, and other custom calibration needs.

Why is PCM unlocking required?
Factory security introduced on many 2015+ Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, and RAM vehicles prevents conventional aftermarket tuning software from writing directly to the PCM. Unlocking modifies the PCM so compatible tuning software can gain the necessary read/write access for custom calibration.

PCM Identification:
- GPEC2 PCM: Typically identified by brown and gray connectors (commonly found in 5.7 and 6.4 Jeeps)
- GPEC2A PCM: Typically identified by tan and gray connectors and a larger PCM housing (5.7, 6.4 and 6.2L Cars, SUV and Ram)
2018+ Vehicle Note: 2018 and newer vehicles also require use of a security module bypass to communicate through the factory security gateway after the PCM has been unlocked. The PCM Unlock and Bypass perform different functions, and both may be required for tuning depending on the vehicle and software being used. For 2018+ vehicles, you will need one of these two bypass options:
Before Sending Your PCM:
- Complete your order and include your order number, VIN, CAL ID, PCM type, and selected tuning software.
- Ship only the PCM unless HHP specifically instructs you otherwise. Remove brackets, isolators, and unrelated hardware before shipping.
- Package the PCM carefully to protect the connectors and housing during transit.
- Do not send a PCM with damaged connectors, broken locking tabs, or obvious physical damage without contacting HHP first.
Important: If you are sending a spare or replacement PCM rather than the original module from your vehicle, additional programming, VIN configuration, stock calibration data, or security relearn procedures may be required depending on the PCM and tuning platform. Please contact HHP before sending a replacement PCM if you are unsure.
