An aftermarket hydraulic lifter for the HEMI that is designed for the high boost, high horsepower application.
If you currently have MDS (Cylinder Shut Down) and are switching to these non-mds lifters in order to remove the OE MDS-Lifters which cannot support the larger camshafts and will collapse under the higher loads you will need to turn off the MDS operation in your calibration.
*These lifters will typically require different pushrods lengths than stock, we recommend a pushrod measuring tool like the MSRC-GEN 3 HEMI
With this design, the pushrod cup has been moved down .195, still retains .143 total travel
Recommended pre-load:
.035 +/- .010
.035 +/- .005 for short travel versions
Said to use longest preload on aluminum blocks (loses up to .012 .015)**
These lifters from Johnson are non-MDS and will work as a direct replacement in any Gen 3 HEMI engine application.
