If you are using an aftermarket crank damper then you must pin your crank and for 6.2's that are no longer under warranty this is an easy insurance policy against the rare, but extremely expensive, spinning off of your OEM crank pulley. If your stock crank pulley spins, it typically will result in crankshaft damage requiring an expensive engine replacement. On 6.2L's getting upper pulleys, we highly recommend pinning of the crankshaft.
Installation Notes:
Per Chrysler, if you remove the damper bolt, it requires you to replace the bolt. At HHP we use and recommend the stronger and reusable P1 S220 High Strength Crankshaft Bolt or the standard non-reusable 2018+ OEM MOPAR 06512335AA Crankshaft Bolt any time you remove your OEM crank bolt.
