The HHP Racing MSHS Final Stand is one for the record books!

Posted by Joshua S. on Nov 10th 2020

Just in case you missed it, this past weekend was one of the biggest race weekends the street HEMI racing scene has ever seen! With one big event, split between two tracks over the course of three days, the Modern Street HEMI Series racers and their cars were put to the test. Team HHP pushed harder than we've ever pushed to keep the street car team at the top of the podium. The weekend started with split track rentals at Atco Raceway with the HHP Racing Pre-Event Track Rental and a radial prep track rental at Cecil County Dragway. All of our racers spent the day dialing in, testing and adjusting to make sure we were ready for qualifying.

After a long, grueling three days of racing and working on the cars, Team HHP was led by Brian Carter who cleaned house winning both the SuperPro 8.50 index and the Heavy Weight NT (no time) classes. Carter's HHP built, SunCoast Transmissions powered 2019 Hellcat laid down multiple 8.5 second passes over the course of the race. Most impressively, the car is not lightened and it still has the stock engine in it. These are not purpose built race cars, but the same cars that you can buy right off the dealership lot and modify!

The entire crew did exceptionally well! Joined by our friends from MPR Motorsports in California who came out from the West Coast for this race, the team came away with 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishes in the HEMI Outlaw Class, 1st, 3rd and 4th place finishes in SuperPro Class and 1st and 2nd place finishes in the Heavyweight Class.

We'd like to congratulate long time HHP customer, Brian Brunt, who took his Jeep SRT8 with his turbocharged G3 Performance aluminum block based HHP/BES 426 stroker to the top podium spot in the HHP 10.0 Index Class at Atco. Another congrats goes out to HHP customer Chris Dorocki on winning the Rookie Class! Great job, we hope to see you out racing more next season!

In the end of the 2020 season, points were officially counted and leaders were crowned. #TeamHHP was led by Brian Carter as the points winner in two classes, Heavy Weight and SuperPro. Carter also emerged as the MSHS King Of Kings as the top racer for 2020! This is a huge accomplishment and well deserved!
