Team HHP Cleans House At MSHS, Maryland International Raceway

Posted by Joshua S. on Oct 25th 2020

Another great Modern Street HEMI Series race weekend is in the books and once again Team HHP showed the HEMI world why our crew is second to none. Over the course of 3 days at Maryland International Raceway in Budds Creek, MD our entire team banded together and rocked multiple combinations down the dragstrip, setting numerous personal bests and taking the #1 spots in the top 3 fastest classes. Multiple finals saw Team HHP vs Team HHP cars pitted against each other.

One feat we are most proud of is our presence in the 8.50 class which saw Team HHP Hellcat's fill in the top 4 spots! There's not many 8 second street based Hellcats in existence and Team HHP showed our strengths in putting Hellcat after Hellcat down the track in the 8's. All of the hard work and testing the entire team does in between races shows when it comes time to band together and compete.

And in the MSHS HEMI Outlaw class, Team HHP continued our fierce dominance taking 1st and 2nd place with 4 second passes round after round.

Results:

Diablosport & Holley HEMI Outlaw Class

1st Josh Schwartz (Team HHP)

There were hard fought honorable mentions for our other HHP Team Members who raced an awesome event, Mitch Weinberg, Doug Ritter, Greg Green with his 3rd place finish in Super Stock, Steven Kowaleski and Paul Hendry along with our favorite honorary Team HHP member, James Burnthorne JR.

And none of this would be possible without the huge support of our non-attending racers (Sumit Goyal, Moses Mott and Mike Sudul) and our racers and team members who chose to crew and offer track support for the team this weekend (Neichaun Tatum, Bruce Maichle, Darryl Falk and Evan Weinberg).

And lastly, we cannot thank Brian Brunt enough for his support and congratulate him on taking his WK1 Jeep SRT8 with it's HHP/BES 426 stroker engine built using our Gen3 Performance Aluminum Block and turbocharged by Stage 6 Motorsports of Jacksonville, FL to the number one spot in the High Horse Performance 10.0 Index Class. He immediately followed up this win with an awesome showing in the Z-Automotive MSHS King Of The Hill shootout where he emerged the big winner of the weekend.
