The Old Man Emu brand has its roots firmly planted in off road racing and draws its name from the emu’s ability to maintain great stability when moving over uneven terrain at high speeds. From humble beginnings in 1976, ARB purchased the company in 1988 and has continued to develop and test the products in Australia’s harsh 4WD environments.
Since then Old Man Emu has been an industry leader, pioneering the suspension industry with a promise that includes the latest technology, designed by top engineers to deliver products that are tailored to a customers needs.
Old Man Emu produces suspension to suit you, no matter your lifestyle.
When selecting front suspension components, constant load is the primary consideration to achieve desired lift and clearance, while ensuring proper geometry and ride comfort. Similarly, rear suspension selection should be based on the load the vehicle will consistently carry. Whether you're hauling gear, towing, or running a canopy setup, OME offers multiple spring rates to match varying weight demands as well as control arms helping you maintain performance, control, and stance under load.
Each kit is tailored to suit the specific vehicle and its intended use.
Most vehicles have multiple spring options available, each engineered to match specific vehicle setups and the accessories fitted. This ensures the right spring rate for your build, delivering a reliable lift within safe design limits.
- Installation of the front lower control arms is recommended to restore wheel alignment caster settings. LCAJLFR should be set at 5mm longer than OE prior to wheel alignment.
- FK100 Bump Stop Spacer kit is mandatory to prevent from rear coil springs becoming solid on full compression.
- Trim Packers can be used to level vehicle side to side by using one per side, per corner etc.
