Brand New OEM Mopar Big Gas 6.4L VVT Bare Cast Iron Engine Block Genuine, Also known as the BGE block or 392 truck block.
This block was used starting in 2018 on all 6.4L and 6.2L engines with the introduction of the DEMON which required a much stronger block.
This OEM replacement 392 truck block is almost identical to the Hellcat block. It comes from the same casting as the Hellcat block but is painted black instead of orange and this block is not torque plate honed whereas the hard to attain Hellcat block is. Both the Hellcat block and all 392 blocks have a 4.090" stock bore size, so the changes are very minor allowing this block to be used in bigger horsepower Hellcat engine builds as well as in 6.4L 392 HEMI and 5.7L HEMI builds. This block is commonly used in 5.7L HEMI Car and 6.4L HEMI SUV engine packages due to it's increased strength over the OEM Car and SUV blocks. This block is a direct swap for VVT vehicles using the stock 4.090" Bore, otherwise machining will be required.
If this block is unavailable from MOPAR, we recommend using the Mopar Hellcat 6.2L VVT Bare Engine Block as a great alternative. It is the same casting with the only notable differences being the exterior color (black on the BGE block, orange on the Hellcat version) and the bores on the Hellcat block have been torque plate honed. The benefit of torque plate honing is that in theory it results in engines that produce slightly more horsepower.
