We have developed an entire custom line of the best HEMI Camshafts on the market. Each Cam is specially designed, or we should say redesigned, to work better than any other manufacturers cams on the market with the New HEMI. We examined all of the driveability issues and our new redesign addresses all of the problems with the current aftermarket cams including the idling and roughness that have previously been unavoidable. We're extremely confident that our Stage 2 HHP Camshaft will beat the competition in streetability, power and performance - it has since it's introduction in 2006 and the fastest naturally aspirated stock bottom end cars in the world run our Stage 2 camshafts. Why would you want to skimp on performance and accept less power?
Description
All of our Stage 2 cams are designed and tested to work in conjuction with ported and polished heads with upgraded valve springs and Diablosport Custom Tuning. In addition, it is highly recommended that you combine this combination with a higher stall torque converter due to intentional powerband shifts.
What is the R Series? The R series designates that this camshaft is a more radical grind. With advances in HEMI tuning, our R-Series camshafts run lower LSA's than our regular line of camshafts and require a little bit extra street tuning for smooth operation. We tune these camshafts all of the time at our shops and the end results are perfect. The fastest heads and cam car in the world (achieving a 10.80s pass in the quarter mile at Atco, naturally aspirated in November, 2010) runs this camshaft with our Race Grade HHP Ported & Polished Heads. If the fastest SRT-8 cars in the world run HHP Racing Stage 2 camshafts, and our fastest competitors are all over a half a second slower than all of our customer's cars. That's proof in itself as to what the best camshafts on the market are.
This Cam Requires Upgraded PSI Valve Springs & Manley Titanium Retainers and Diablosport Custom Tuning. Torque Converter Highly Recommended.
HHP does not suggest that you replace your camshaft yourself. Please take your camshaft to trained professionals such as HHP or one of our partnering performance shops around the nation for installation. Incorrect installation will severely damage and possibly ruin your engine.
