Description

Chances are you don't know enough about Variable Valve Timing (VVT) camshafts to select the best one for your build and you don't trust the guys who claim to know what they're talking about online because at the end of the day their car's simply just not fast. How do you choose a cam for your VVT Hellcat? We would recommend taking a look at proven track records.

For 6.2L Based Hellcat Engines: NOBODY has raced on or spent more time on the engine dyno testing Hellcat based camshaft profiles than our team. While others lay claims that one camshaft will make more power than another, we have dyno tested countless variations of camshafts since these engines came out and while the wrong camshaft can kill power, we have designed our camshafts to make peak power every time. The "bigger the cam, the more power you make" does not affect power output nearly as much on these engines when you have proper tuning. With this in mind, we present 3 variations of our max performance camshafts. Our Street/Strip camshaft has mild lope, stock idle quality and drivability while at the other end of the spectrum our Race/Rumbler camshaft gives those looking for the rough idle, big cam lope exactly what they are looking for. Keep in mind, the more aggressive the idle, the less vacuum the engine produces at low rpm so you will not only be putting your tuner to the test but you may need additional parts depending on your combination to keep your brakes fully functioning (such as our vacuum pump)

REQUIRED: You will need to upgrade your Valve Springs & Retainers and add in the Comp Phase Limiter or Lockout Kit as well to your order.

Designed for Positive Displacement Superchargers: OEM IHI, Whipple, Kennebell or Magnacharger.

Contact HHP for non-standard 6.2L camshaft applications, such as Turbochargers.

Depending on the exact combination of parts being used, fuel being ran, boost levels, etc. we've seen our custom grind Hellcat cam add anywhere from 15-30hp.

This cam does cause a small drop in boost, though still yields an overall gain in horsepower and the potential for a nice choppy idle with proper tuning.
