Description

One of the biggest issues in modifying your 2009 and up VVT 5.7L Challenger, Charger or 300C is the inability to modify the transmission tune to best suite your build through normal tuning means. Whether your engine is stock or making 1000 horsepower, we have the perfect transmission tune for you!

This TCM flash works excellent on stock through highly modified cars where this TCM is a must have! Featuring optimal shift points, shortened shift times, optimized shift patterns, raised torque limits, reduced transmission torque management, advanced converter lockup when possible and key line pressure adjustments where applicable. Here, at HHP, we regularly use this TCM in the cars we build.

Specifically on 2011 through 2014 model year 5.7L cars we CAN raise your shift points. For many packages, especially the naturally aspirated ones which include phaser camshafts, the engine's optimal peak horsepower output is typically above 6000 rpm and shifting at the stock shift points of 5500 rpm will keep your car from seeing it's full potential.

Use of this TCM may require having your Engine rev limiter raised. This can be done using any Diablosport handheld tuner or through custom tuning.

In order to perform this flash, you will need to follow these steps:

1. Restore your vehicle's computer system back to stock. (Restore original backup if using Diablosport.)
2. Carefully remove factory TCM from underneath dash. (Under driverside knee bolster. You will need to remove panel.)
3. Carefully package and mail TCM to address provided at time of purchase. Please allow 5 business days turnaround time or purchase a new TCM to eliminate any downtime for your vehicle.
4. Reinstall TCM in vehicle.
5. Reload tuning onto vehicle. If using Diablosport, you will need to resave the original backup and replace your old file if you have a custom CMR tune on a Trinity. DO NOT make any "Quick Adjust" transmission changes with your Diablo tuner to include Shift Point adjustments, Transmission Mode changes or Shift Firmness changes.

    Great upgrade

Posted by Walt on Oct 31st 2020

After doing a stall converter upgrade. I had a stalling problem when engaging transmission. So I did this upgrade to the TCM. The stalling problem is now gone and has really unleashed the power of my car. Even with traction control on the power the car puts down is just crazy and I can't wait to get the car on the track to see how much my ET has changed.
