    DJ safety engine diaper

Posted by matt brown on Mar 24th 2022

To be honest, the only reason I purchased this diaper was for an event requirement.
Unfortunately it ended up being uses instead of a precaution.
I broke a connecting rod, and put a window in the engine block at the end of the track.
I had no idea how bad it was until I removed the diaper. It retained all the oil that leaked out, as well as keeping all the engine pieces within the diaper.
It kept oil off the track which could have led to me losing control at 150mph, as well as keeping oil off my headers which would likely have led to a total loss due to vehicle fire.
I was never a huge fan of these "overbearing" safety equipment rules, but needing this and having it installed in place very possibly saved my life
