This supercharger belt tensioner was developed to replace the factory style tensioners that have neither the strength, range of motion, tension and damping that is optimum or required to make supercharger belt drive systems function with minimal power robbing belt slippage and/or prevent belt/system failures. The tension and internal damping are carefully matched to provide smooth and continuous control even in extreme events such as two-step / rev limiters and sudden and repeated drop throttle.
