Congratulations, you've just picked up your newly upgraded ride from HHP! Here's a quick, comprehensive list of things to keep in mind with the newly found power.
- No eco mode (if applicable)
- No black key (if applicable)
- Use good 93 octane only, or other fuels the vehicle is specifically tuned for. Make sure you have the correct corresponding tune loaded with the fuel change. With non-ethanol fuels like 93 octane, it is safe to use a higher octane but never the opposite. For ethanol fuels, you must use fuel with the same ethanol content you are tuned for, no exceptions.
- If boosted/forced induction, no high-speed pulls over ~130mph without higher octane fuel or fuel additive. No abuse in freezing temps or 90+ temps.
- If the vehicle is catted, do not use leaded fuels or leaded fuel additives.
- If using any additive, expect to see extra ware on spark plugs, O2 sensors, etc.
- If there seems to be a major issue, don't keep pushing the vehicle to reproduce the issue as this may potentially damage things.
- If you have any check engine lights, you can pull the codes with your Diablosport handheld, or even read them with on-board diagnostics in some vehicles. If you're having an issue and seeing a CEL, have that code information handy when reaching out.
