At the core of the DST design is a dual integrated stopper system, featuring 7-Layer precision folded stainless steel stopper layers combined with Cometic’s embossed, proprietary coated sealing layers. This advanced construction creates a uniform and evenly distributed clamping force across both the cylinder head and engine block combustion seal. The result is improved load control, reduced bore distortion, and a significant increase in long term sealing stability under high boost and high temperature conditions.
Unlike traditional solutions that require additional head machining, grooving, or o ring modifications, DST gaskets are engineered as a true direct bolt on solution.
