AAD sees what the market needs and creates solutions. Starting to see the high power - heavily raced cars start to break control arm bolts and wreck rear spindles. Shortly after that the 170 came out and with it came a control arm bracket to put the rear upper tension arm in double shear. This was a great idea, but it was heavy, had clearance issues with small wheels and other suspension parts, and are also unavailable except as a factory part on a 170.
The solution, a beautiful billet knuckle reinforcement bracket. These will fit any SRT knuckle equipped car and prevent the bolt breakage problems that have been starting to pop up! Anodized aircraft aluminum, stainless heli-coiled mounting holes, 3D cnc machined on all surfaces, this part is beauty in billet form. A great way to add safety while dropping 7lbs of unsprung weight off the back end of your Car!
Also, this knuckle bracket provides clearance for AAD rear control arms, so, with the purchase of this D170 bracket, we are also proud to offer officially Demon 170 licensed Direct Connection control arms. The Demon 170 branded arms are only available if purchased at the same time as a 'Demon 170' control arm bracket.
These brackets also come with replacement fasteners and an applicator of Locktite Blue for additional security.
ATTENTION! anyone running TBM brakes (or any other brakes that don't use the factory mounting location)
When running a rear knuckle bracket such as these '170' brackets you may need a stud to attach the bottom side that ordinarily would bolt through your Brembos. There is not enough room back there to run a standard nut and bolt, so we made some special low-profile studs out of stainless to accommodate this situation. These are available above.
